Check-in and check-out time

One week prior to your arrival, please advise us of your anticipated arrival time.

On the day of your arrival, if your arrival time has changed, please advise us by telephone so that we can ensure that we are present to greet you on-site.

Check-in time: 4:00PM
Check-out time: 10:00AM

Early arrivals (before 4:00PM)

If you arrive before 4:00PM and your condo is available and has been cleaned, it will be our pleasure to check you in. Otherwise, we will hold your luggage for you in a secure place so that you can begin to enjoy our beautiful city until your condo is available for check-in at the standard 4:00PM check-in time.

No groceries can be dropped off before 4:00 p.m. or before you have been given access to your unit.

Starting from January 5th, 2025, early check-in fees will be charged if you wish to access your apartment between 1 PM and 4 PM.

Please note that this access can only be guaranteed upon your arrival at the Royal Dalhousie, subject to availability.


  • 1 PM to 2 PM: $75 plus taxes
  • 2 PM to 3 PM: $50 plus taxe

Late arrivals (after 10PM)

As soon as we have all the information regarding your arrival time, we will make sure to be on-site to greet you properly, otherwise, we will arrange a self check-in.

Late Checkout

Starting from January 5th, 2025, if you wish to extend your access to your apartment, between 10 AM and 1 PM, late checkout fees will be applied.

Please note that this access can only be guaranteed the day before your departure at the earliest, and no later than 9:30 AM on the day of your departure and subject to availability.


  • Checkout between 10 AM and 11 AM: $25 plus taxes
  • Checkout between 11 AM and 12 PM: $50 plus taxes
  • Checkout between 12 PM and 1 PM: $75 plus taxes

Maximum Capacity

In order to ensure everyone's safety in the event of an emergency, it is imperative that the maximum number of people allowed per apartment be adhered to.

This policy is designed to provide a safe environment that meets established safety standards and ensures the protection and well-being of each resident under all circumstances.


Children under 12 travel free with their parents. We will provide a folding bed, portable bed and/or high chair if required.

A maximum of two folding beds and/or portable beds and high chairs per apartment will be provided.

If your apartment is equipped with a sofa bed, we will prioritize it for comfort.


We have an outdoor parking area with unrestricted entry/exit access located at the back of the Royal Dalhousie Condos-Suites building.

The cost is 25$ per day per vehicle, plus taxes.

We can only guarantee one parking space per condo.

Payment is to be made upon arrival, unless the charges were paid upon booking.


Under certain conditions, only guide dogs or assistance dogs are accepted in our establishment.

Please, review the full regulations before making your reservation.

Please, note that the presence of dogs during a stay must be communicated to us at the time of booking and that the appropriate documentation must be presented at the latest at check-in to allow the entry of the dog.


The Royal Dalhousie is a non-smoking establishment.

It is strictly prohibited to smoke in the units as well as in all common areas, including balconies and the terrace.

Legally, smoking must be done at a distance of 9 meters from any public establishment.


No bicycle, regardless of value, may be stored in the Royal Dalhousie building.

There are dedicated bicycle parking areas on the Place des Canotiers that are accessible to everyone.

We ask you to respect this rule in order to maintain a welcoming environment for all.

Forgotten object(s)

The Royal Dalhousie Condos-Suites is not responsible for any lost or forgotten objects.

If you wish for a forgotten object to be shipped to your personal address, a valid card number is required to cover shipping costs.

You have 10 days to contact us with the necessary information, after which the objects will be discarded.

Responsibility in case of loss or breakage

In the event of the loss of any key set, the tenant will be responsible for paying replacement fees.

Replacement Fees:

  • Apartment le Bluenose: $40 plus taxes
  • Other apartments: $15 plus taxes
